Lust Academy by Bear in the Night Games is probably one of the most famous porn games to date. While most adult video games were created by one pervert and a trolling fan or two together and then distributed in the free porn game archives, Bear in the Night Games has managed to amass a significant number of fans who are willing to pay for their games. They currently have about 1,000 patrons. And when you consider how many stingy little bastards live in their mother's basement and spend their allowance on fedoras and pillow-tops, patrons probably make up only a small fraction of The Last Academy players.

This begs the question: what's so special about The Last Academy. It's a visual novel about a young man who goes to a magical school and gets fucked by a lot of hot girls, and frankly, it's a lot like a lot of pornographic games. However, it's clearly different from other throwaway, trashy Flash games, so I decided to download it and try it out myself.

Pay for it or just play it.

Like many other porn game operators, Bear in the Night doesn't do business in a catchy, personalized domain like it does when marketing premium lesbian videos. Or perhaps it's an archive of porn reviews written by a heady, big-dick, redheaded mascot. They clearly have eager fans who are willing to consider tiers in the hundreds of dollars.

And here's some good news for the penniless and unemployed sheiks who love one-handed video games. The Last Academy is available as a free download through our Patreon page. Being a patron gives you quick access to all sorts of things, but let's be honest, most of us weren't going to pay for it. Bear in the Night feels like it cares about its players by offering the game for free. If it wasn't free, the curmudgeons who try to download The Last Academy from pirate sites would infect their computers with malware.

It seems like just a few years ago, Flash-based porn games dominated the scene, and you could fuck bitches and fight naked trolls without leaving your browser. I like the immediacy of web games, but downloadable games tend to have better production values, graphics and gameplay. The Last Academy is available for Windows, Mac, Android and Linux - sorry, iPhone users, you'll have to use a different device to play this game.

As a reviewer, I have to be a little picky: the only thing I can complain about at patreon.com/bearinthenight is that the free download is hosted on a file-blocking service. The first link I tried on Google Drive didn't work because Lust Academy had already exceeded its bandwidth; the second one did, but I had to wait a bit; the third one did, but I had to wait a bit; and the fourth didn't work because Lust Academy had already exceeded its bandwidth, but I had to wait a bit. It wasn't exactly dial-up speed, but it wasn't lightning fast either.

While I was waiting for the download to finish, I watched the trailer for The Last Academy, which was posted on the patron page. It's already clear within the first few seconds that this is not your typical half-baked CG visual novel. The rendering is gorgeous and 100% true to life. Heck, the graphics are sexy. The included animations are smooth and sexy, although I wish there were more authentic animations instead of the usual panning/zooming and basic motion effects. I can't wait to see the really dirty ones.

Let's play "The Last Academy."

After downloading, I was ready to launch this bad boy. After unzipping the folder and clicking on the Last Academy icon, it launched. After a few seconds, an animated Bear in the Night logo appeared on the screen, followed by a warning, "This game is full of adults using violence, sex, crude humor, smoking and vulgar language. It's as much a game as it is mine.

If you've played any of Ren'Py's visual novels, you'll feel right at home as soon as the game starts. If you haven't, you'll feel right at home in just a few minutes. There is no complicated learning curve in this game.As soon as you click the "New Game" button, The Last Academy asks if you want to play the game as a visual novel or in sandbox mode. I was going to explain the difference between these two modes, but since you are already a gamer, you already know the difference. Most games fall somewhere between these two categories, but rarely do you have a real choice: you may be curious about the difference between these two play styles, and it may inspire you to play over and over again. Perhaps the reason Desire Academy is so damn popular is because the sandbox mode adds value to repeat play.

Since this was my first time playing this game, I opted for the visual novel. Before starting the game, however, I was greeted with a warning, "Added environmental sounds containing erotic material." This warning is very interesting because it seems to be intended to be played while you're at work or when your kids are in the next room." It also says, "I hope this doesn't make you uncomfortable, but guess what. If I end up getting kicked out of Starbucks again, then it's a good sex game."

Finally, the game asks me if I want to enable or disable LGBTQ+ content. I like to watch girls doing each other, and I'm not a big fan of guys showing their butts, but I turned that option on to see what was out there. After a few seconds, I entered my name and the CG character started the story and explained the gist of it.

As is typical of visual novels, there is a lot of dialogue to skip over. However, less than a minute into Last Academy, a sexy stepmother enters the room and makes a mess. She's an absolute bitch, but damn, she's good.

After my mother-in-law complained, I immediately went to my sister-in-law's room. I don't realize I'm watching Sissy stretch out in her underwear, but it's a bit of a tease because it knocks me out after a few seconds. I have other things to do, like talk to the old man downstairs before messing around with my stepsisters. He's an asshole, too, but at least all the assholes and hotties in the game speak plain English. If you play visual novels regularly, you'll understand why I should mention this. You shouldn't worry so much just because the characters don't speak English in katakana, but this sort of thing is often standard.

After the old man complained, I ran into my other sister-in-law in the kitchen. She offered me a cup of tea, showing off her cleavage, and after a short conversation I decided to go out. There I checked my mail and found an invitation to the school of magic. It was called The Last Academy, though its real name was Cordale Academy.

I didn't immediately understand why Patreon.com/bearinthenight had so many patrons. The writing is strong, the 3D rendering is beautiful, and it's all filled with details that make it feel real. Immersion is very important because if you can immerse yourself in the game, you can play it longer. By the way, I'm getting ready for a marathon playthrough of The Last Academy, so it's time for me to wrap up this review. Bear in the Night has deservedly earned its reputation in the porn game scene. If you're still not convinced, try it for free.
