Thus, the good folks at True Amateurs are not bullshitting when it comes to their porn. I love it. It is also really cool that they encourage and pay anyone to post videos. This is what is so great about porn today... How interactive it has become. We are no longer passive porn viewers.

Typical layout of a pay site, easy to use

Once logged into True Amateurs, the site's layout and design will probably look quite familiar to porn enthusiasts who have previously used a membership-based pay site. At the top is a large banner advertising a portion of the site. In this case, it is a collage of video screenshots, advertising the site itself. It's a bit redundant, but that's okay.

Eventually, however, the banner switches to a prompt to submit a video. 'Show your talent,' it says, 'Be your own producer. Upload your own video. Get paid." And to get more information, send an email to [email protected] ...... There will probably be a list of guidelines for getting your video featured.

Below the banner you will see thumbnails divided into sections. First, "Latest Videos," then "Top Girls," then "Top Videos," and finally "Popular Tags." Without a doubt, this is a very standard porn site layout. It is clean, effective, and easy to use. Each video (and girl), by the way, is featured in the lower right corner of the thumbnail and has a rating along with it. Speaking of thumbnails, it is unfortunate that the previews do not appear when you hover the mouse cursor over them. This is a common feature on porn sites, as it makes it easier to make decisions about viewing and watching content. So it is a bit disappointing that this feature is not available ...... Especially on a pay site.

However, when you actually click on the video, the media player is pretty solid. You can hover your mouse over the scrub bar to preview what happens in the video, which is a plus. Also, the videos are of surprisingly high quality for amateur porn. Professional studios, directors, and producers may not be involved in these videos, but based on how good these shoots are, how sexy the girls are, and the HD quality of the videos, you would hardly know.

Good and Bad Points.

In addition to great streaming and video quality, True Amateurs offers several community-oriented features, such as "like" and "dislike" buttons and the ability to leave comments. However, these features appear to be largely underutilized by members. This seems to be because the user base is quite thin. Even the most popular videos have only a few hundred views and a couple of votes. Moreover, not a single comment was left on the video I clicked on. What a waste of a great feature.

In short, my biggest complaint about the site as a whole, which is also why "True Amateurs" is not gaining more fans, is the complete and utter lack of videos on the site. With a total of 27 videos, you could easily wank the entire site in just a few days.

I don't know if this is because they are trying to determine the quality of the content to which they put their name, or if there are just no submissions because the site never took off. Probably both. I also checked the "Upcoming Videos" section. However, it just showed "No Results."

Perhaps it goes without saying, but any site that charges users a monthly subscription fee should be uploading at least one video per month (and even that would be sparse compared to most pay sites). True Amateurs, however, has not released a single video in over a year. Their most recent video was posted on October 25, 2017.

This site may honestly need to consider a new business model. At least if their lack of updates is due to not receiving enough (or good) content. They may want to consider revamping things just a bit. Maybe open a small studio where they could film amateurs and have sex there. I don't know what the solution is, but I do know that the crowdsourcing approach doesn't seem to be working for them at the moment.

All in all, I like True Amateurs. I like the content, the girls are all fucking hot (which, as I'm sure you are well aware, is all too rare for an amateur porn site), the porn is actually good quality and full length, and the idea of crowdsourcing high quality amateur porn is a great one! I think the idea of crowdsourcing high quality amateur porn is a great one. Unfortunately, however, we have yet to find a way to make it work in a way that is truly commercializable. I think for True Amateur to succeed, at least temporarily, they will have to rethink the way they operate.
